The existing single glazed steel windows and doors were replaced with aluminum double glazed door and window systems, improving the thermal efficiency of the building envelope.

  • Refenestration of the whole building including windows, doors and curtain walling
  • Reroofing and renewal of rooflights and rainwater goods
  • Rebuilding of brickwork balustrades and new copings
  • Repointing and clean of brickwork and Portland stone

The existing single glazed steel windows and doors were replaced with aluminium double glazed door and window systems, improving the thermal efficiency of the building envelope.

Thermal improvements were also undertaken while recovering the roof and the capacity of rainwater drainage was increased.

The building was fully operational during the works and was phased to accommodate critical dates for exams and conferences.
