Castle Owen led a multi-disciplinary team which considered options to replace the glass roof of the atrium.
The existing glass roof was found to be leaking and life expired. Our multi disciplinary team were tasked with developing a solution which improved the aesthetic, addressed under and over heating and improved maintenance capabilities. The project brief was extended to include a refurbishment of the entire Atrium area including café and food outlets. The Castle Owen team developed the design to RIBA stage 4 and in addition developed a complex phasing strategy which allowed access to be maintained during the work.
