Luke Pantling

Associate

Luke has over ten years’ experience in professional practice, having started his career with a tier one building contractor prior to joining Castle Owen. He is Chartered Construction Manager and NEC Supervisor and has significant project and programme management experience, particularly within the HE Sector.

James Hollingsworth

B.Sc. (Hons) MCIOB

Associate

James has gained over ten years’ experience in professional practice. He is a Chartered Construction Manager with extensive experience in leading complex commissions and in the management of professional services projects providing Part Wall Surveyor advice.

Dan Morton

B.Sc. (Hons) MRICS

Associate

Dan is an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who has held positions in large national practices and a period with English Heritage. He has significant experience in leading complex projects employing a variety of procurement and contractual routes including NEC 4.

Neil Clarke

B.Sc. (Hons), MCIOB

Director

Neil has over twenty years’ experience within professional practice gained within the public and private sectors. He is a Chartered Construction Manager with significant experience in project management, maintenance strategy and construction health and safety management. Neil excels in delivering complex highly serviced projects.

Richard Owen

B.Sc. MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM, IMaPS

Managing Director

Richard established the practice with Tim Castle in 2001 following a successful career in both the public and private sectors. Richard is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager with extensive experience of all aspects of the construction, design and delivery process. He is responsible for leading and developing the practice.

Melissa Smith

B.Sc. (Hons), MRICS

Director

Melissa has a significant history of working with Castle Owen returning as a Director following periods with national and multi-national practices. She is a Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive experience in project delivery. Melissa is an RICS APC assessor and is responsible for graduate development and training within the practice in addition to leading on our most significant projects.

Jon Hayward

Head of Architecture and Design

Jon leads the Castle Owen design team drawing upon his twenty year experience in private architectural practice. He is a Chartered architect with multi sector experience and particular interest and experience in sustainable design.

Castle Owen was founded in 2001 by a highly respected and experienced group of Chartered building surveyors and architects who believed in interdisciplinary collaboration.

We have built upon this foundation to become a leading multi-disciplinary practice which combines creativity with technical excellence in order to deliver exceptional spaces for people.
