We value our staff and are committed to developing policies that will attract, develop, motivate and reward employees. Our working environment is enhanced by policies that support human rights, equality and diversity, health and safety, personal and career development and high standards of ethical and professional conduct. We recognise that every employee is responsible for ensuring that any contact with clients and the public reflects our high standard of professionalism, efficiency and honesty and aim to provide a consistently high quality of service.
Our core business purposes recognises our desire to improve the environment through our work, considering the consequences of all that we do and aiming to use natural resources responsibly. We seek to work with other organisations that embrace these objectives and to encourage our staff in these goals.
We aim to act as a responsible member of the local community and consider our impact on it, in particular with regard to our office locations and employees’ movements to and from the office, and seek to recruit new staff and work with new suppliers where the local community will benefit most strongly.
Each year we select a local charity to support through fund raising activities.
We actively support education in the community by offering regular periods of work experience and by visiting careers events in order to explain the various opportunities for students within the built environment. We have an extensive track record of working with the various built environment degree courses at our local University including lecturing and providing year out and graduate employment opportunities.
